New Public
Contracting Regulations for Colombia will be in
force next Dec 2007 |

Colombia has a new public
contracting Statute:
Law 1150 dated 16th of July 2007. This new
regulation introduces measures to garantee further
efficiency and transparency in the public contracting
processes. The new system contemplates three
contracting modalities and will be in force next
December 2007. |

Colombia To Hand Management Of 6 Airports To Private
Companies |
|
|
|
|
|
The Colombian government
plans to hand the management of 6 regional airports
to private companies by the end of 2007. The
airports to be turned over to the private sector are
the two airports serving Medellin, the country's
second largest city, as well as the airports of
Carepa, in the province of Antioquia; of Monteria,
in the northern province of Cordoba; of Quibdo, in
the western province of Choco; and of Sincelejo, in
the northern province of Sucre. The process will
start in July, and the airports will be auctioned by
