She worked in the financial field since 1990 until 1999, year in which she became a part of DG&A Abogados, in which she is currently the General Director. She  is in charge of the corporate and commercial departments of the firm. Expert in corporate governance, management of corporate organs, design and structuring of businesses, compliance and management of legal risks, which allows accompaniment. 

She has a vast experience in legal matters and corporate and corporate advising, specially, in corporate, commercial and strategic matters, expansion and market consolidation, which makes her deserving of national and international recognition. Additionally, she is well experienced in commercial and financial management. She is an advisor and member of the board of directors of various companies in the manufacturing, commerce, mass consumption and institutional fields. 

Founding partner of Duarte Garcia Abogados S.A.S. (DG&A – Abogados) and its managing partner between 1997 and 2012. Cofounder of the Legal Services Chamber of the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI) and Chairman of the Chamber’s Board between 2012 and 2013. Former Magistrate and Vice president of Colombia’s Electoral Council and former Ambassador of Colombia to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the European Union and NATO. International Arbitrator certified by the Supreme Court of Florida (USA) and former professor of pre and post graduate studies in the Pontifical Xavierian University (Colombia) and the Sergio Arboleda University (Colombia). Associate Partner of Hague Corporate Affairs for Latin American and Caribbean issues in the European Union.

Lawyer (mayor) with socio-economic studies (minor), expert in labor law and administrative law, responsible for the Firm’s Departments of Labor Law and Disputes until 2014. Business counselor with in-depth knowledge and expertise in energy, telecom, international businesses and security and defense sectors. Public affairs counselor for the promotion of international trade and public policies for sustainable development.

Lawyer from Externado University, with a specialization in Labor and Social Security Law from Javeriana University. She has been an arbitrator in labor matters and is on the list of arbitrators of the Supreme Court of Justice. She is a lecturer on labor matters and advises several national and foreign investment companies on the subject, in individual and collective labor law. She has extensive knowledge in negotiation processes. She attended a corporate governance seminar at Yale University’s School of Management. She has participated as a Delegate in the International Labor Conference in Geneva (Switzerland).

With 20 years of professional experience in the labor and social security law area, she has participated in collective bargaining negotiations, company structuring from the labor point of view, labor audits, due diligence, requirements of public entities, advice on pension and parafiscal matters, advises national and foreign companies on labor, social security and immigration matters and represents clients in labor litigation matters. She is currently the director of the Labor, Social Security and Immigration Law Department of the Firm.

Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with more than 30 years of experience in various areas of public law: constitutional, administrative, international and disciplinary law. She is currently the Director of the Public Law Department of DG&A Abogados

Her Master’s studies in Development Policies for Latin America from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and the one in International Relations from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, together with the postgraduate studies in administrative law, allow her to complement his legal training and broaden his professional profile in the disciplinary areas of political science and international relations.

Among the positions held by Mrs Dangond – Gibsone are those of substantiator of the Constitutional Court, advisor to the National Constituent Assembly, Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture, Advisor to the Ministry of Economic Development, Director of Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, among others.

She has worked successfully as a consultant, litigator, researcher and lecturer in the field of public law (constitutional, administrative and international law). Her works have been published in various media; sometimes turned into opinion articles for written media (national and international) and television through comments; others, in academic media such as book chapters, specialized academic magazines editions, among others.

Since 2021 she is a correspondant member of the Colombian Academic of Jurisprudence

Lawyer from the Santo Tomas University. Labor law specialist at the Universidad Javeriana of Bogota. She is in charge of the area of labor disputes. She has experience in individual employment counseling and collective labor law, addressing requirements from the UGPP, proceedings before administrative authorities and the Ministry of Labor. She is the coordinator of pro bono activities of the firm.

Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a major in Commercial Law from Universidad de Andes. She has professional experience of more than 10 years in the areas of commercial law, corporate law, and intellectual property, advising national and foreign clients in the structuring and execution of their businesses in Colombia, and the protection of their intangible assets and intellectual property. Currently, she is a member of the Junior Chamber of Legal Services of the ANDI, from which different relevant initiatives for the legal service sector are managed. She  coordinates the Commercial and Corporate law Department of the firm, and was appointed as partner on 2022.
